BY kind permission of the International Underwriting Association (IUA) we reproduce the latest International Hull Clauses released to the market on the 5th November 2003. (This .PDF file will open in a new window. To return to THIS page please click on "X" in the top righthand corner of your browser.) The clauses are notable in many respects, including the drop of the CTL threshhold to 80% of insured value and the reworking of the old navigation limit warranties into clauses which, by design, avoid any mention of the word "warranty". Also from the IUA we include the very useful comparative table pitching the international hull clauses against the old Institute Hull Clauses, the Norwegian Plan and American clauses. (This table is a .doc file in MSWord. Please follow your browser's instructions to open the file, and close it to return to THIS page.) See the IUA website for further information. |
